Privacy policy

Stattribute ("we", "us") is a platform where players, clubs, and managers build profiles and follow football statistics. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the rights you have. Questions? Email privacy@stattribute.com.

What we collect

• Account data — your email address and name, plus a securely hashed password (managed by our authentication provider).
• Profile data you provide — the player, manager, or club information you submit: positions, attributes, photos, club history, and similar details.
• Content you create — messages, forum posts, and contact-form submissions.
• Technical data — basic log data (such as IP address and browser type) needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

• To run the platform — create your account, authenticate you, and display profiles and leaderboards.
• To send service email such as sign-up confirmation, password resets, and notifications.
• To review submissions (moderation) and keep the service safe and reliable.
• To improve Stattribute.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), on the basis of our legitimate interest (securing and improving the platform), and on your consent where it applies.

Public profiles

Profiles published on Stattribute (players, clubs, managers) are public by design and visible to other visitors. Only submit information about other people where you have a lawful basis to do so.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, including hosting, database, storage, authentication, and email delivery providers. Data may be processed within the EU and other regions under appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. The quickest way to exercise any of these is the request form below — or email privacy@stattribute.com. To protect your data we may first confirm your identity, and we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your light/dark theme. We do not use them for advertising.

Age & young players

You must be at least 13 to create an account (the age of digital consent in Sweden). If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must set up your account and consent on your behalf.

Because football involves young players, profiles may describe minors (for example youth-team squads). A profile about a player under 18 should only be created with the consent of that player's parent or guardian. If a profile about a minor has been created without appropriate consent — or you're a parent/guardian who wants one removed — use the request form below and we will act promptly.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
